A burglary in Colorado Springs led to the arrest of six minors earlier this month.

 

Members of the Colorado Springs Police Department arrived to the Colorado Crossings Property at 1:30 A.M. on a Sunday morning and caught one 18-year-old and six minors as they were in the process of disassembling and removing stereo equipment. For 48 people who thought they would die in Colorado prisons, a window of hope has been opened.

 

Last month, a bill was passed by state legislature to lessen the sentence of 48 prisoners who were sentenced to life in prison without parole as juveniles. Each juvenile offender was tried as an adult and sentenced to an adult facility for their involvement in or the commitment of murder

 

Recently, Cañon City High School was rocked by a sexting scandal. Over 100 students were involved in the sending and receiving of explicit pictures through a smartphone app that kept the pictures hidden.
